Ruman Ahmed was appointed as the state president of Indian Journalist Association Tripura unit. Indian Journalist Association will be dedicated to struggle for the respect and safety of Tripura journalists - Ruman Ahmed Agartala, Tripura. On the instructions of the National President of Indian Journalist Association, Jr. Seraj Ahmad Quraishi, the National Organization Secretary, Akhileshwar Dhar Dwivedi, has appointed as Ruman Ahmed, a resident of Agartala, Tripura, who has been doing journalism for the last twelve years and the editor-in-chief of Tripura Patrika Bengali weekly newspaper and News Live 24 Tripura, the state president of the Tripura unit and expressed hope that by connecting all the journalists from villages to cities in the Indian Journalist Association, journalists will continue to struggle to protect the interests and against incidents of harassment. Ruman Ahmed said that the Indian Journalist Association will be dedicated to struggle for the respect and safety of Tripura journalists. Mr. Ruman Ahmed further said that I will keep trying to get the Journalist Security Act, formation of journalist constituency in the Legislative Council, formation of Digital Media Board and making of Journalist Register. National Vice President Mohammad Parvez, National General Secretary Giriraj Singh, National Treasurer Salman Ahmed, National Secretary Ranjit Kumar Samrat, National Council Member Md. Ejazul Haque, K.M. Raj, Jammu and Kashmir State President Manzoor Ahmed Pakhtoon, Gujarat State President Shailesh Bhai Vaghela, Marathwada State President Aslam Qureshi, Madhya Pradesh State President Md. Ashfaq Arif, Devanand Sinha, Atif Khan, Neetu Dubey, Mithilesh Kumar, Sultan Akhtar, Naseem Rabbani, Sanobar Khan, Surendra Singh, Pankaj Jha, Venkatesh Suryavanshi, Saqib Anwar, Anwarul Haque, Rajiur Rahman, Manoj Kumar, Anupam Sinha, Dr. Amarnath, Vinod Virodhi Madhu Sinha, Baljeet Kaur, Anshu Awasthi, Avnish Tripathi, Naved Alam and other journalists expressed happiness and congratulated Ruman Ahmed on being made the State President of Tripura unit.
